OK! decision reached. I am going to start submitting my poetry onto Deviant art its probably high time i did. I should also scan my sketches and pop them in, but all in good time.

An interesting fact i came across today worth sharing is the difference of opinion toward Western Civilization that people from Third World backgrounds hold, compared to our own.

Many of us find interest and intrigue in the idea of seeing the Third World standard of living, not through the eyes of the media, but through the eyes of our own experience and understanding.
A friend of mine from that heritage believes it is not worth visiting, that we should be happy with our happiness and not take on a burden like that understanding. That we should sympathize and help, but not try to get too involved.

I look at things here with the eye of one who knows no worse. Who would go three days without eating if it meant that people who were worse off got my share.

He says i should stay at home rather than experience what it is like within war ridden areas, that i dont know and im better off not knowing.
He still remembers an incident with Gorrilas from his childhood, and that took everything away from him.
He remembers living off one small meal a day
He would rather be fat and happy
He never ever wants to go back
He laughs at the thought of his fortune and eats for those there who cant, his sympathy is with them but he has moved on.

I remember getting the essentials given to me and not taken away.
I remember living off five small meals a day
I remember wanting to be thin and happy - just to understand what its like ...
to not be fat and unhappy.
I want to go there and come home
I cry at the thought of my fortune and don’t eat in compassion for those who cant, my sympathy is with them but i cannot move on from something i have not witnessed.

They are us, we are them, and when push comes to shove, i would rather die for all of humanity, than just the civilization that lives well.
